Mascot pins are one of the easiest traditions to start: see school pins.
Starting a pin tradition
A mascot pin given to every new student on their first day, or to every family at the first open house, becomes a tradition within a year or two. Keep the design the same and change only the color or the year, and students collect one per year. At 300 pieces, a 1-inch mascot pin is $2.10, delivered.
Including everyone
Spirit days work best when every student can join without buying anything: color days, theme days with items from home, and recognition that celebrates effort as well as achievement. Have spare spirit items for students who forget or cannot buy them.
