It depends on the look you want and your budget. Soft enamel sits a little below the raised metal lines, so you can feel the texture; it costs less and suits giveaways, trading pins and bold, bright designs. Hard enamel is filled level with the metal and polished smooth, so it looks more like jewelry and stands up to daily wear; it costs about 10% more. See soft vs hard enamel pins.

Yes. Send your Pantone (PMS) numbers or your logo file, and our artist matches each enamel color to the Pantone guide at no extra cost. Enamel is mixed by hand, so allow for a very slight shift, and remember that screens show color differently from metal and enamel. See Pantone colors for pins.

Yes. Gradients and photo detail are printed, either as a printed pin or as a UV-printed gradient on an enamel pin. Glitter and glow-in-the-dark are enamel colors with sparkle or a glow mixed in, priced per color on the pricing page.

About 1.5 mm tall for letters formed in metal lines, roughly a 6-point font on a 1-inch pin, and about 0.8 mm for printed detail. Our artist flags anything smaller on your proof and suggests a fix, such as moving a tagline to the back.

Yes. Changing only the colors needs no new mold. Changing the year on the front needs its own small mold, unless the year is engraved on the back instead. Each version is priced at its own quantity, and together they only need to meet our minimum.

Yes. Laser engraving adds a name, a date or an ID to the back for $0.24 per pin, and it can be different on every pin. Sequential numbers for limited editions add $0.30 per pin. See backstamps and numbered pins.

Yes. The invoice includes our bank details for ACH and wire transfers. Your bank may charge a wire fee; the invoice amount is what we need to receive.

There is no separate reorder discount. The mold is already included in every price, so a reorder costs the same per pin as a first order of the same size and quantity, and it skips the proof. We keep your artwork, Pantone colors and plating on file, so a reorder matches the first batch.

There is no separate mold fee on any order; the mold is part of the per-pin price. Molds are kept for two years, so a reorder of the same design within that time goes straight to production with no new proof.

Yes. We issue an invoice with your organization's details and PO number, payable by card, PayPal, ACH or wire. For vendor registration we can send our company details and a W-8BEN-E tax form.

Yes, send it with your quote request or purchase order and we note the exemption on your invoice. It does not change the delivered price.

Counted from proof approval, standard orders are delivered within 30 business days, rush orders within 10 (15% extra) and express orders within 5 (25% extra). Details are on shipping and delivery.

Pins are made by our manufacturing partners. Depending on the order and deadline, they may ship from Guangdong (China), Los Angeles, Vancouver, London or Brisbane.

Tell us as soon as you can. We work with the carrier to resolve it, and once the loss or damage is confirmed we make and ship your order again free of charge or refund it in full.

Tell us within 7 days of delivery. We inspect the pins, and if 6% or more do not match the approved proof, we remake or refund under our proof-match guarantee.

Our standard gold finish is a gold-tone electroplate over the base metal, not solid or karat gold. If you need karat gold plating, ask on the form and we will quote it.

The finish you choose (shiny gold, antique silver and so on) is the plating. Underneath is the base metal: iron for most soft and hard enamel pins, zinc alloy for large or complex shapes, brass or copper for die struck pins, and stainless steel or zinc alloy for printed pins. The base metal does not change your price. If you need brass or copper on an enamel pin, ask on the form and we will quote it.

Our main factory partner follows the EU's REACH chemical safety rules, which restrict lead and nickel among other substances, and every order is inspected before it ships. Some finishes, such as shiny and antique silver, are nickel-based platings, so if wearers have a nickel allergy or the pins are for children, tell us on the form and we confirm testing options, such as a test report to CPSIA in the United States or EN 71 in Europe, before production.

Pins are not toys. If your pins are for children 12 and under, such as youth trading pins, tell us on the form and we will confirm testing options before production.
