How we add a backstamp
A laser marks the back of the pin after plating, so the mark is fine, crisp and permanent. Because nothing is cut into the mold, it can change from pin to pin, which makes it the way to add names, years or serial numbers. It adds $0.24 per pin, with no setup charge.
What to put on the back
- Your logo or brand name
- A website or social handle
- The year, edition or "Limited edition of 100", see numbered pins
- A recipient's name or employee ID on years of service pins
- "Est." year for clubs and associations
Design tips
- Keep backstamp text at least 1 mm tall.
- Leave space for the posts; they sit on the back at fixed positions.
- On small pins, a simple logo reads better than a full line of text.
Backstamps are popular with creators and on hard enamel pins given as awards. Ask for one on the quote form.
