Artwork guidelines for custom pins
You do not need print-ready art to order. Our artists redraw everything for free. These guidelines explain what we change and why, so your proof has no surprises.

Files we accept
Vector files are best: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG with text converted to outlines. PNG, JPG and even phone photos of sketches work too; we redraw them as vector art. For a deeper look, read preparing vector files for pins.
Minimum sizes that hold up in metal

At 1 inch, a word set in 6-point type is about the smallest that stays readable. If your design has smaller detail, we will suggest a larger size, bolder text or a printed overlay.
Colors
Each enamel color must be separated from the next by a raised metal line. Name your colors as Pantone (PMS) codes if you have them; otherwise we match from your file. up to 8 colors are included. Gradients cannot be made in standard enamel; use UV printing or offset printing for those.
Shape
The pin is cut to the outline of your design. Very thin points or narrow tails can bend; we may thicken them slightly. Holes inside the design are possible as cut-outs.
The back
Tell us if you want a backstamp (your logo or text on the back) and which back you need.

Free proof in 24 hours
An artist sends a scale drawing with every color matched to Pantone, the metal finish and the back. Revisions are unlimited.
Approve your proof
Confirm the design before production. If you requested a quote first, pay through the link in your approved quote.
Made and delivered
Standard delivery within 30 business days, rush 10, express 5. Duties are already paid.
