What it means
The square academic cap, or mortarboard, comes from the caps worn by medieval scholars, and turning the tassel from one side to the other at the end of the ceremony has become the moment a graduate is officially done. The star adds a sense of celebration that works for any age.

Yes. The tassel is its own enamel color, so changing it costs nothing.
Is a star pin safe for young children?
Pins are not toys. For children under 12, tell us on the form; we recommend rubber clutches and confirm testing options before production.
When should we order graduation pins?
Approve the proof by mid-March for May ceremonies.
Can we order next year’s class too?
Yes. Order two class years at once and we change only the year.
How big is a 1-inch pin?
