Apple Heart Teacher Pin
The design
On the pin
A heart-shaped pin in cream enamel with a gold-tone edge. A shiny red apple with a green leaf sits in the upper half, and TEACHER runs across the bottom in red capitals.
What it means
The apple has stood for teachers for well over a century, a custom often traced to families who helped pay rural teachers with produce. Inside a heart it becomes a thank-you rather than a job title, which is why teachers wear it on lanyards long after appreciation week.
Colors and finish
