Design for the shape of the hat
A cap panel curves, a beanie stretches and a brim offers another wearing position. A wide emblem can behave differently from a compact round pin. Tell us where the pin will sit and what material it attaches to before selecting the outline.
Keep the main logo readable at the chosen longest edge. A long slogan may be more useful on a backing card or the reverse than squeezed around a small mascot.
Match the front and back
Soft enamel makes a raised-outline design, while hard enamel is polished smooth. The back options should be reviewed with the size and fabric thickness. Larger pins may use more than one post to help hold their orientation.
