POW/MIA Remembrance Ribbon Pin
The design
On the pin
A ribbon-shaped pin in black enamel with a silver-tone edge and a white loop center. A gray banner across the tails reads NEVER FORGET in white capitals.
What it means
Black has long been the color of remembrance for prisoners of war and those missing in action. The POW/MIA flag, designed in 1971 for the National League of POW/MIA Families, carries the motto You Are Not Forgotten, and this ribbon says the same thing in two words.
Colors and finish
Black enamel with silver tone looks formal and sober. The gray banner sets the white lettering apart from the black without adding a bright color.

When to order
National POW/MIA Recognition Day is the third Friday of September. Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Missing Man table ceremonies at military dinners are other common occasions.
Who orders it
Veterans' posts, motorcycle groups, Junior ROTC units and families of the missing. Our veteran pins cover broader service themes.

More awareness ribbon pins
Can you reproduce the POW/MIA flag on the pin?
Yes. The flag's silhouette and watchtower design is widely used on remembrance items, and we can place it in the loop or as a separate pin.
Is black the right ribbon color?
Yes, black is the traditional color for POW/MIA remembrance, matching the flag.
Can I change the wording on the pin?
Yes. Replace the top or bottom text with your organization, campaign or event name.
How many awareness pins should we order?
One per participant or staff member plus 20%. Prices drop at 300, 500 and 1,000 pieces.
How big is a 1-inch pin?
Slightly larger than a US quarter. It is the most common lapel size for service awards. Your proof shows the pin at actual size.
