What it means
The red ribbon for heart disease ties into the red dress and wear-red campaigns that have made heart health, especially women's heart health, more visible since the early 2000s. The words say heart health rather than disease on purpose: hospitals use the pin to encourage checkups, not to mark an illness.
Colors and finish

Can we use a red heart instead of a ribbon?
Yes. We can redraw the center as a heart, or a heart with a heartbeat line, while keeping the round layout and wording.
Can the pin say Go Red?
That phrase belongs to the American Heart Association's campaign, so we only use it with their permission. Plain wording such as LOVE YOUR HEART works just as well.
Can I change the wording on the pin?
