What it means
The blue ribbon for child abuse prevention began in 1989, when a grandmother in Virginia tied a blue ribbon to her car's antenna in memory of her grandson and to make people ask why. Blue was chosen for the bruises she wanted the community never to ignore again.
Colors and finish
